Do you have a hidden, creative
genius that lies hidden or dormant deep within you? Many baby boomers and
seniors, as well as others, do. They may not be aware of that reality.
That creative genius within you
can lead you towards success in business. Why would you or anyone else want to
go any other direction or undertake a business project, unless geared toward
success?
Creativity is a major factor as
it relates to success in business.
For example, your inner spark of creativity
gives you an inspiration, a new business idea. Every business success starts
with an idea, that spark of creativity. That idea then becomes your motivating
factor.
Motivation leads you to become proactive with respect to developing the
idea further in terms of a possible business venture. Anticipating the
likelihood of success and excited about it, you are encouraged and inspired by
the reality of becoming an entrepreneur.
What is creativity?
Dictionary.com suggests that creativity is “the state or quality of
being creative”.
Creativity is an innate gift
and ability in every person, even though many people are not aware of their
creative genius. Sometimes it takes a trigger of some kind for it to surface.
Creativity is also “the ability to transcend
traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to
create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.”
“I can improve upon that, or
make it better,” you tell yourself, as a potential business-oriented
entrepreneur. Once inspired, you seek to do just that.
Creativity is also “the process by which one utilizes creative
ability.”
The process is set in motion.
How does one come by original,
creative ideas for business?
Brainstorming is an excellent
place to begin, as many new and different ideas come out of individual or
collective, brainstorming sessions. Tossing every possible idea on the table,
so to speak, opens up a new realm of possibility for success in business.
Realizing, recognizing or
acknowledging the imperfection of something is one of many triggers that
inspire business-oriented people to seek solutions. Frustration about something
can lead towards finding a better way to create something or discovering an
answer to a problem. Meeting a need of some kind is another possible trigger.
This is where being positive
and constructive in one’s business thought processes helps. Seeking perfection
or improvement in some aspect of business, leads to new goals. Thus, success
becomes goal directed, as well.
Creativity as it relates to
success in business is responsible for many of the global transitions in every
era. It should never be squelched, rather encouraged in every entrepreneur.
